KAASH FOUNDATION’S SECOND JUBILATION DAY

KAASH Foundation, Mumbai successfully completed Two Years on 3rd October 2021. To celebrate this milestone, an event was held at Ramada Plaza Palm Grove, Juhu Beach, Mumbai. The event, which began around 11 AM, witnessed the esteemed presence of Smt. Kishori Pednekar, Honourable Mayor of Mumbai, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, as the Chief Guest and Shri. Sandeep Karnik (I.P.S.), Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Western Region, Mumbai, as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Amit Goenka, Founder, Managing Director and CEO, Nisus Finance Services Co. Pvt. Ltd; Prof. Baliram Gaikwad, Registrar, University of Mumbai and Mr. Vikas Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer, SSA Finserv Pvt. Ltd., graced the occasion as Special Guests.

Their felicitation was followed by Smt. Kishori Pednekar’s Inaugural Address and the unveiling of KAASH Konnect Vol. 7. It was indeed an honour to have Smt. Pednekar unveil the Seventh Volume of KAASH Foundation’s Quarterly Newsletter. Post the Inaugural segment, Dr. Chintan Jadia, Core Committee Member, KAASH Foundation announced the Foundation’s latest initiative – ‘KAASHplasty’. Initiated under the Foundation’s KAASH Swaasthya Manthan, ‘KAASHplasty’ aims to help people requiring knee and hip replacement surgeries connect with hospitals affiliated to the MPJAY scheme by organizing awareness and diagnosis camps. It also aims to provide financial assistance to those unable to afford these surgeries.

After a sumptuous lunch, the event continued in the august company of Mr. Narendra Podar, Director, Podar Group of Companies and Vice-President, Bharat Merchants Chamber, as the Chief Guest; Shri. Deepak Baba Hande, Former Municipal Corporator, Ghatkopar, Mumbai, as the Guest of Honour and Mr. Javed Juneja, Municipal Corporator, Ward No. 213, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (B.M.C.) as the Special Guest. Mr. Narendra Podar unveiled the brochures for KAASHplasty and the hardbound volume of KAASH Konnect – Vol.1 to Vol. 7. This was followed by the release of all the conference proceedings and the two international journals of KAASH Foundation: International Journal of Concerns, Complexities and Dialogues (IJCCD) and International Journal of Emotions, Expressions and Dimensions (IJEED). As the first initiative of Kaashplasty, knee and hip replacement surgery awareness and diagnosis camps at Ghatkopar and Mohammad Ali Road were also announced.

It was also a matter of pride to have Shri. Akshay Mishra, Vice-President, ICICI Securities Private Ltd.; Prof. Ar. Sunil Magdum, Principal (In-charge), Dr. Baliram Hiray College of Architecture, Mumbai; Mrs. Mridula Goenka, Mrs. Magdum, Head, Department of Art, Nirman College of Art, Mr. Mayank and Mrs. Lippika Podar, grace the occasion.

As a way of expanding horizons and reaching out to more people, KAASH Foundation signed Three Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Nisus Finance Services Co. Pvt. Ltd., Dr. Baliram Hiray College of Architecture, Mumbai and SYS Medtech International Pvt. Ltd.

The event also had the following on display: terracotta jewellery made by women from Kolkata and Gujarat, bangles woven in silk by women from rural Pune, hand stitched quilt, yoga mats and bags etc. from Kutch in Gujarat (these products were the result of the Foundation’s Women Empowerment Initiatives and Rural and Tribal Community Outreach Programs), Proceedings of 10 International Conferences/Symposiums, Three International Faculty Development Programs, Two Volumes of both our International Journals, Seven Volumes of KAASH Konnect, Certificates and Testimonials received by KAASH Foundation for its exemplary efforts and Media Coverage of all events. The Flyers for all our 21 Health Webinars, 14 International Conferences/Symposiums, World Heritage Week, International Yoga Week, International Youth Peace Camp and Lecture Series for the Youth were also displayed along with the Foundation’s Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kolkata and Uttarakhand Chapters in India.

Lastly, the Foundation’s upcoming initiatives were also announced. Some of these include: Rural and Tribal Community Outreach Program at Vikramgad, Palghar District, Maharashtra; Awareness and Food Distribution Camps to tackle Malnutrition, Women Empowerment Programs, International Faculty Development Program at Dehradun, Uttarakhand and setting up a Professional Training Centre in Tamia Tehsil, Chhindwara District, Madhya Pradesh.

The event, which was live-streamed on KAASH Foundation’s YouTube Channel, ended on a high-note with the entire team envisioning to uphold the Foundation’s objective of initiating a constructive change in the society.
