KAASH FOUNDATION’S FIFTH JUBILATION DAY

17th – 19th October 2024

From 17th – 19th October 2024, KAASH Foundation celebrated its Fifth Jubilation Day, an occasion to reflect on the five years since its foundation in 2019. This year, the celebration lasted over three days and coincided with the Foundation’s 19th International Conference on ‘India: A Synthesis of Tradition and Modernity’.

Held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, on 17th & 18th October, the conference was a collaborative effort between KAASH Foundation’s Centre for Academic and Professional Development (CAPD) and Jiwaji University’s School of Studies in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology and the Center for Tribal Study and Development. We were honoured to welcome Mr. Donnawit Poolsawat, the Consul General of Thailand in Mumbai, as the Chief Guest; Dr. Pratyusa Kumar Mandal, Professor of History at the Department of Education in Social Science (DESS) & Dean (Academic), National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT), New Delhi, as the Keynote Speaker; and Rev. Dr. Wadinagala Pannaloka, the Head and Senior Lecturer at the Department of Buddhist Thought, Postgraduate Institute of Pali and Buddhist Studies (UOK), Kelaniya University, Sri Lanka, as the Valedictory Speaker.

On 18th October, the Foundation’s health team organized a health camp for the villagers of Naya Pura and Ray ka Pura on the outskirts of Gwalior. Our health experts assessed the situation on the field and realized that the villagers often suffer from health issues and diseases like TB. Therefore, they were provided with natural home remedies and immunity boosters to help alleviate their illnesses. They were also taught to practice Sujok therapy, which could help relieve their pain. Special thanks to our CSR partner, Houlihan Lokey, for their support in this initiative.

On 19th October, the team went on a heritage tour to Ekattarso Mahadev Temple, Garhi Padawali, and the Bateshwar Group of Temples. This memorable exploration reaffirmed the importance of safeguarding and understanding historical sites, ensuring that future generations remain connected to their architectural and cultural roots.
