KAASH FOUNDATION’S THIRD JUBILATION DAY

KAASH Foundation successfully celebrated its Third Jubilation Day on 2nd October 2022. It was nothing short of a gala with all KAASH Family Members coming together to celebrate three years of the Foundation. The Jubilation Day, this time, was held at C.K. Nayudu Banquet Hall, Cricket Club of India, Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. The Foundation was very honoured to have the following dignitaries preside the function:
1) Chief Guest: Mr. Kobbi Shoshani, Consul General of Israel to Mid-West India
2) Guest of Honour: Mr. Vishwas Nangre Patil (I.P.S.), Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Mumbai City
3) Special Guest: Shri. Tulsidas Radhaben Kanji Somaiya, Veteran Gandhian and President, Mumbai Sarvodaya Mandal
4) Special Guest: Dr. K.S. Cheema, Former Head, Department of History, Guru Nanak Khalsa College of Arts, Science and Commerce
5) Special Guest: Shri. Nishi Singla, Director, Jhanu Logistics
6) Special Guest: Shri. Narendra Podar, Chairman, Podar Group of Industries
The event was inaugurated by lighting the lamp in the presence of Mr. Kobbi Shoshani, Shri. Tulsidas Somaiya, Shri. Narendra Podar, Shri. Nishi Singla and Dr. Avkash Jadhav, the Founder-Trustee of KAASH Foundation. The dignitaries also paid a floral tribute to the Father of the Nation – Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. This was followed by a welcome address to all the dignitaries by Ar. Ayushi Motiwalla, Core Committee Member, KAASH Foundation and Editor, International Journal of Emotions, Expressions and Dimensions (IJEED). The cultural performances of our members thereafter added the required spark to the event.
A short documentary on the Beach Cleanup Drive organized in collaboration with the Indian Coast Guard on 17th September 2022 to mark the International Coastal Cleanup Day was then screened. This was followed by the screening of a video message from Mr. Julio Ribeiro, Mumbai’s Former Commissioner of Police and Padma Bhushan Awardee sharing his good wishes to the members of KAASH Foundation on the occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The proceedings were taken ahead by Dr. Ravinder Kaur Cheema, Core Committee Member and Editorial Board Member of IJEED. While KAASH Foundation and CAPD were introduced by Dr. Geeta Ajit, Joint Director (Education) and Coordinator, CAPD, KAASH Swaasthya Manthan was introduced by Ms. Renuka Vyas, Joint Director (Health) and Dr. Chintan Jadia, Core Committee Member. Dr. Avkash Jadhav walked the audience through its three-year journey with a presentation on all the initiatives undertaken by the Foundation in the past three years. The dignitaries were then welcomed on the dias and honoured with a memento, shawl, shrifal and the autobiography of Mahatma Gandhi – My Experiments with Truth. Mr. Shoshani and Mr. Nangre Patil were also asked to unveil Volume 11 of KAASH Konnect – KAASH Foundation’s quarterly newsletter along with a compiled copy of Volumes 8 – 11 (October 2021 to September 2022). This was followed by the felicitation of all Joint Directors, Core Committee and Youth Brigade Members of the Foundation present at the event, for their exemplary work.
The dignitaries were then requested to address the audience. Mr. Kobbi Shoshani was very impressed with the work the Foundation has done in just three years and has offered to take up initiatives together with the Consulate General of Israel. Mr. Vishwas Nangre Patil shared his experience of working in rural parts of Palghar District, how difficult it is to engage with the locals, and how much more is needed to elevate their position. He commended the work of the Foundation and mentioned that his experience has taught him to respect Karma as he performs his Kartavya of a police officer. He wished KAASH Foundation more laurels & success and was open to the idea of initiating something with the police department. Shri. Tulsidas Somaiya appreciated the dedication of the KAASH team and blessed them. Dr. K. S. Cheema shared his insight on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and recalled his memories on the Partition of India. Finally, Shri. Nishi Singla offered his good wishes to the Foundation. These few words of wisdom by the guests gave the team an impetus to work even harder for the betterment of the society. Their appreciation of the Foundation’s work and interest in further collaborating has added the required glory to the entire KAASH family.
The event finally concluded with a delicious lunch and the camaraderie between all the attendees brought a smile on everyone’s faces.
