KAASH Foundation’s KAASH Swaasthya Manthan celebrated the International Yoga Week for the 5th consecutive year from 15th June – 21st June in accordance with the Common Yoga Protocol as set forth by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. Yoga Camps were held for different age groups across the city of Mumbai as well as far flung areas of Vikramgad in Palghar District and Kasal in Sindhudurg District of Maharashtra.
Have a look at some of the highlights from the week-long celebration:
- People from different age groups – children, adolescents, youth, middle-aged adults and senior citizens – actively participated. The youngest participant was 4 years and the oldest, 85 years old
- More than 1500 people benefitted from the Yoga Camps
- More than 1000 students participated in our Yoga sessions
- Our Yoga sessions lasted for more than 25 hours in total throughout the week
- Special Camps were organized for Women
- Sessions were organized for Corporate Employees
- Special Sessions were organized for Government Officials
- Special Sessions were organized for the Anganwadi Sevikas (Supervisors of Kindergarten Centres in Tribal and Rural areas)
- Dedicated Workforce of 15 members
- Collaboration with Citizen Groups, NGOs, Government Departments and Educational Institutions
- Invitation to organize a yoga session for the staff of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai’s Disaster Management Cell on a monthly basis
- Invitation to organize a yoga session for senior citizens associated with the Federation of Senior Citizens of Maharashtra (FESCOM) on a weekly basis
