AMBEDKAR JAYANTI AT VIKRAMGAD

On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, KAASH Foundation organized a three-day event from 12^th – 14^th April 2023. Following activities were conducted at Khadki, Saarshi, Onde and Malwada villages of Vikramgad Taluka, Palghar District, Maharashtra.

12^th April 2023:

• Awareness Session for 300 young girls on menstrual cycle along with distribution of sanitary napkins, biscuit packets, and Dettol soaps.
• Basic Hygiene and Sanitation Session for toddlers and their mothers along with distribution of hand wash with refill, soaps, and biscuits.

13^th April 2023:

• Awareness Session for over 800 students on child marriage along with distribution of biscuit packets and Dettol soaps.
• Awareness Session for Anganwadi Sevikas (kindergarten workers) along with distribution of napkins, Dettol hand wash kits, two refill packets, biscuits, and sanitary napkins.

14^th April 2023:

Distribution of 500 printed educational books to help students appear for scholarship exams and dictionaries for teachers. This event was attended by Shri. Bhanudas Palve I.A.S, CEO, Palghar District; Shri. Prakash Nikam, Chairperson; Shri. Pankaj Kore, Deputy Chairman; Sabhapati Shri. Sandeep Pavde (Agriculture and Animal Husbandry); Sabhapati Shri. Sandesh Dhone (Infrastructure and Health Department) and Sabhapati Shri. Yashwant Kanojaa, Vikramgad Panchayat Samiti. Also, Smt. Sangeeta Bhagwat, Education Officer of the Secondary Section and Shri. Sheshrao Bade of the Primary Section along with Shri. Bapu Shingare, Child Development Programme Officer, Integrated Child Development Services, Vikramgad and members of the Vikramgad Panchayat Samiti attended the event.

In three days we reached out to around 1000 students, 150 anganwadi sevikas, 150 school teachers, 75 administrative staff, 300 villagers, and 90 toddlers.
